Amore yarns collection
The entire ‘Amore’ collection is made from environmentally friendly fibres. The material to obtain these fibres is divided into two categories.
There are pre-consumer and post-consumer materials. Pre-consumer materials are all the textile scraps that come from the intermediate processes that lead to the final product (e.g. weaving, knitting or packaging scraps, etc.).
Post-consumer materials are disused and damaged clothes which, after being sorted by colour and fibre, are reduced to fibre with the machinery that you can see in the video below.
In the Prato district, 22,000 tonnes of rags are reused annually. This material, which is considered special waste, does not end up in landfills.
